First edition of this French language study of the Big Three, published just as the Grand Alliance was splitting apart as a result of the emerging Cold War. A presentation copy, inscribed on the half-title: To Mrs. Roosevelt with my deepest respect, in memory of her husband, Franklin D. Roosevelt, the Knight of Freedom for the whole world. Alex Pasquier December 1st 1946. In addition to this work, Pasquier wrote seven novels and a number of books on Belgian history. He also wrote a study of the United States, Amérique, which was published in 1944.
