First edition, later printin, of Debman’s response to Roosevelt’s “My Day” newspaper column from February 4, 1950. In in, journalist Debnam elaborates on “a series of two broadcasts over the Smith-Douglass radio network February 8th and 9th, 1950” in which he negates Roosevelt’s accusations.
From Roosevelt’s library, a gift inscribed by Mabel Sheldon: "Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt / Compliments of / Mrs. Mabel B. Sheldon / March ‘53." With ER’s bookplate and library sticker, and with an additional card inscribed, "For Mrs E. Roosevelt - / from / Mabel B. Sheldon." Sheldon was the third wife of Hollywood vaudeville actor Harry Langdon.
