Broadside: "From North American Review The Editor's Diary - March 1st.” [NP; ca. 1906-1917].
Broadside: 5-1/2" x 12-1/4"; printed on off-white stock; folded in middle; left margin rough with tears, rumpling and creasing; good.
Refutation of anti-suffrage arguments recently voiced before a legislative committee in Albany, two members of which "are the most conspicuous examples of successfully corrupt politicians in the Empire State." The North American Review consistently printed pro-suffrage pieces by Susan B. Anthony, Ida Husted Harper and others; in 1906 its Editors formally endorsed woman suffrage declaring it was more than desirable, it was a necessity. [See Franklin, p.287].
