ALS, "Clara Barton," to "My dear Mr. Heigbee" [Mr. Frank B. Heigbee, St. James Building, New York], ca. 1900.

8vo.; one leaf of The American National Red Cross letterhead, one page.

Barton writes at night, "all assistants long dismissed," but wants to lose no time in forwarding "the mail of a few minutes ago": "the remembrances of the [ ] nations of Uraguaya & Venezuela...I can feel how anxious you must be by this time that all should get into your hands—I only wish it were in my power to really help you with your great and world wide burden. May all the success you so well deserve be yours..."
