12mo., first 2 blanks excised; tipped to the front paste-down is a biographical notice of the author apparently clipped from a biographical dictionary; contemporary full sheep, red morocco label; a very bright attractive copy with the 12-page booksellers catalog at the end signed by J[ames]. Wilson.
First American edition. The publisher of this book was also a bookbinder and the book is more than likely in his original binding, which would make it one of the earliest examples of a signed American binding as well as a very attractive copy of a scarce book. Windle A7b.
