LETTER: ALS regarding missionary work with Indians of New York State.

(Native Americans). Thayer, Mary Jane F. AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED, Lancaster, (N. Y.), Aug. 29, 1846. To her cousin, Lucretia Chapman (not the murderess) in Pittsfield, Mass. 3 pp., 4to, in ink. Very good.

My faith has been sorely tried, however, but I am now beginning to see some of the fruits of my labors ..."
