Roosevelt’s pencil seating chart dating to FDR’s early career, composed by her on the verso of an autograph reply to the dinner party invitation by the Assistant Secretary of War, Breckinridge; on a card printed with their 2139 Wyoming Avenue address is reads, “The Assistant Secretary of War and Mrs. Breckinridge accept with pleasure the kind invitation of The Assistant Secretary of the Navy and Mrs. Roosevelt to dinner on Saturday, December the sixth at eight o’clock. / November the twenty-seventh.”
