The broadside solicits volunteers to work on the campaign for the November 6th referendum: "We need 6,000 women who will give two hours a week. WILL YOU BE ONE OF THESE?… We need 500,000 women who will give TWO HOURS A MONTH. WILL YOU BE ONE OF THESE? These are the backbone of the New York State Suffrage Party." The suffragists sought grassroots supporters through pledge cards and solicitations such as this, though, not having seen this particular broadside before it strikes us as uncommon.
