Woman Suffrage Co-Equal With Man Suffrage.

[Suffrage]. National American Woman Suffrage Association. Handbill: “Woman Suffrage Co-Equal With Man Suffrage.” New York: National American Woman Suffrage Association, c. 1913.

Handbill, 6-3/4 x 10-1/2”; printed on green stock (single-sided); somewhat worn—folded in half with tiny pieces lacking at right margin (not affecting text); lacking lower right tip (approx. 1/2 x 1/2” piece) with shallow edge tears and some browning to the paper; about very good.

One of the “Rainbow Series.” The handbill takes its title from the “Platform of Principles of the American Federation of Labor” and cites those state federations which have come out for women’s suffrage. Samuel Gompers, John Mitchell and Keir Hardie are quoted with the final statement that “There are 300,000 Working Women in New York, alone. Will not a vote be worth as much to them as to working men?” Franklin notes that the Rainbow Series is “printed in large type on colored paper and are especially good for distribution at meetings. They are to be had in German, Italian, Bohemian and Yiddish...” (Franklin, p. 177).
