Miniskirt and hotpants clipping collection.
London: Vp (1964-77). A collection of over 1,000 loose fashion illustrations -- the great majority of girls and women, in color and black and white, cut from newspapers and magazines, some mounted on thick paper. The majority of clippings are from the period 1964-77 with teh emphasis on the mini-skirt, although there is much on the "hotpants". Many arranged in chronological folders.
Detailed scholarly handwritten notes analyse the fashion details of the 60s and 70s. The collection constitutes a very comprehensive view of the great changes in women's dress that came about in the late 1960s. This collection was put together by a professor of costume in England who witnessed the fashion movement in person.
