LETTER: Autograph letter signed, "Mary A. Livermore," to "Dear Mr. Goss," November 27, 1897.
ALS, "Mary A. Livermore," to "Dear Mr. Goss," November 27, 1897.
8vo., two leaves, two pages.
Livermore writes that a Miss Witherington is working on Livermore's own "Autobiography," the proceeds of one copies of which—including Livermore's own percentage—will go to the Melrose W.C.T.U. To maximize sales, she writes, "When she has done canvassing I will give the Public Library a copy." Mr. Worthing will promote the book through his circulars: he "puts half a dozen or so of testimonials into every circular. They are never put all together. He gets out a new circular every few months. He has just issued 20,000 copies of a new circular, and I have sent for a specimen of them. I rarely see them."
