This letter, written in response to a request from a young fan, reads in full:
My Dear Young Friend:--
I am always happy to send to the boys and girls, who ask my pen-tracks, and I ask every one to think and talk and do to secure the establishment of justice and equality to the women of their state and country.
I enclose the plan of work of the New York State Campaign, and hope you will read it and get a notice of the fact of it inserted in your papers. You will soon be old enough to take part in the discussion of this question in public as well as in private. I send you enclosed some little tracts and documents.
I hope you will subscribe for the Woman’s Tribune published in Washington, D.C., and study and learn all you can of this great question on Equality of Rights for Women.
Yours sincerely,
(#3669)
