Album of photographs and cyanotypes.

[album; photographs; cyanotypes]. Album of Photographs and Cyanotypes
of Smith College and Surrounding Environs. Massachusetts, c. 1900.
Green cloth over flexible boards, "Photographs" stamped in gilt on
front cover; oblong, 255 x 184 mm); contains 29 cyanotypes (1 loose)
and about 130 silver prints (some loose at rear), usually about 2x3
inches, up to 5x7, unlabelled, tipped direct on recto and verso of
nearly every page. A few leaves detached; slight wave to text block;
binding a little bumped. But, overall, all the images are beautifully
composed, exposed, printed, and preserved. Some faint silvering here
and there, just the occasional blur of movement, or waver of refracted
light -- all of it, prettily so. Includes some lovely landscapes and
shots of the campus, plus a canoe trip, a party or two, some
cross-dressers. Very Good+.
