First edition with Weizmann’s foreword, in which he touches on the horrors of the Holocaust—“The Jewish problem, the tragedy of Jewish homelessness which is now unfolding itself before our eyes in all its radical urgency, places upon the agenda of mankind Herzl’s greatest solution.”

This edition was published during the height of World War II when the gates of Palestine were firmly closed and Jews were being systematically exterminated.
