Catt, chairman of the Executive Committee, responds to Bird’s earlier request for an interview. She writes, in part:
Of course you can have an interview at almost any time you want it. Whenever there is a day you want to come to see me, telephone me at my home (New Rochelle 4460) and I will tell you whether or not I will be at home. Then you can come out to see me if you think an interview is worth that much trouble and expense. You evidently had something in mind that you wanted to ask me and perhaps that something has now passed.
