Where Women Vote.

Björkman, Frances Maule. Small Pamphlet: "Where Women Vote.” New York: National American Woman Suffrage Association, [c. 1912].

Pamphlet: 3-1/2 x 6"; 39 pp.; printed tan wrappers; "5 cts" in pencil at front wrapper; two small short tears to bottom edge (front wrapper); very good.

First printing. Frances Björkman, an experienced journalist, assumed the role of editor of the NAWSA's Literature Department in 1912, and later editor and secretary of the Literature Committee. "Where Women Vote" surveys countries which have woman suffrage and provides a state-by-state breakdown of the status of woman suffrage in the United States. The report on the latter gives statistics (the state population, breakdown between men and women, etc.) as well as a discussion of the "History", "Extent of Women Vote", "Office Holding" and "Effect upon Legislation"—in short, a great deal of useful information presented in a compact format.
