Goldman, Emma. Pamphlet: “The Crushing of the Russian Revolution.” London: Freedom Press, 1922.
Pamphlet, 5-3/8 x 8-3/8”; 43pp; + 1pp ads; dark brown stapled wrappers printed in black; fragile wrappers are dusty and lack three small corner pieces with with some minor splitting at spine; about very good.
First edition. After having been deported from the United States in 1919, Goldman spent two years in Russia where she saw at first hand how Lenin and his Bolsheviks had subverted the Russian Revolution. As the byline to the article indicates, Goldman wrote this while in Stockholm. She reasserts her belief in anarchism while at the same time reports the failure of the Russian Revolution with merciless accuracy. The following year Goldman expanded upon the subject in My Disillusionment With Russia.
