Disenfranchisement.
DuBois, W[illiam] E[dward[ Burghardt. Pamphlet: "Disfranchisement.” New York: National American Woman Suffrage Association, [1912 or 1915].
Pamphlet: 5-1/4 x 7-1/4"; 10 pp.; printed blue wrappers; frontispiece portrait of DuBois; fine.
DuBois sets out five staples of anti-suffrage arguments and refutes them one by one. He sees the central problem as those "who insist on regarding the franchise not as a necessity for the many but as the privilege for the few.” NAWSA printed the pamphlet in 1912 and in 1915. OCLC records only four holdings of the 1912 printing and only micoform of the 1915 printing. Franklin, p. 134 (three stars). Krichmar 1600.
