Why Women Want to Vote Women Are Citizens and Wish to Do Their Civic Duty.

Small Broadside: "Why Women Want to Vote Women Are Citizens And Wish to Do Their Civic Duty.” Harrisburg, Penna.: Pennsylvania Woman Suffrage Association, [1915].

Small broadside: 6-1/4"x 9-3/8"; printed one side on light green stock; creased at middle and at lower left corner; trifling edgewear; very good.

The broadside lists women who need the vote: working women "to regulate conditions under which they work"; housekeepers "to regulate the sanitary conditions under which they and their families must live"; business women "to secure for themselves an equal opportunity in their business"; and tax paying women "to protect their property." All women need the ballot; all men need women's help to build a better government, and "WOMEN need MEN to help them secure their right to fulfill their civic duties." The broadside closes with the legend: "WOMEN VOTE IN WYOMING, COLORADO, IDAHO, UTAH, WASHINGTON, CALIFORNIA, OREGON, ARIZONA, KANSAS, ALASKA, MONTANA, NEVADA. Add Pennsylvania to the List. Vote for the Woman Suffrage Amendment in November, 1915."
