Frauenfragen in Palastina.

An Early Study Of Women In Palestine,
By A Female Scholar

[Judaica]. Cohn, Helene Hanna. Frauenfragen in Palastina. Berlin: Judischer Verlag, 1921.

8 mo.; cardboard wrappers, glued: interior evenly sunned, not affecting text; some faint staining to covers; spine sunned; otherwise a good reading copy and a remarkable survival of a scarce work.

First edition; text entirely in German. A study of the role of women in Palestine in which the author advocates the need to implement a socialist program there. Chapters include “Die Judische Frau” (“The Jewish Woman), “Die Madchen-Arbeitsschule” (“The Girl’s Work School”), and others on various subjects of relevance to Jewish women in Palestine.

Recorded in NUC with six holdings. One would think that, under the historical circumstances, simply the survival of this fragile pamphlet is itself quite uncommon.
