Pennsylvania Woman Suffrage Association The Forty-First Annual Convention.
Program: Pennsylvania Woman Suffrage Association The Forty-First Annual Convention November 22, 23 and 24, 1909. [Newton, Pa: Pennsylvania Woman Suffrage Association, 1909].
Program: 4to, single sheet, 10-7/8" x 7-1/4"; folded to 5-1/2" x 7-1/4"; printed on off-white stock; the paper is considerably age-toned with a 1/2" hold to front cover (a little affecting text at inside cover); about very good.
Rachel Foster Avery headed the Convention as the President of the Pennsylvania Woman Suffrage Association. The program gives the details of the Convention's order of business: the President's Address, the appointment of committees, the election of delegates to the NAWSA convention, etc. as well as indicating the speakers (including "Federation Notes" from Mrs. L. L. Blankenburg) and the musical interludes which were staple components of suffrage meetings. Maud's mother, Mrs. Abbie B. Rice, is named at the Chairman of the Local Committee (Entertainment). [See scrapbook for newspaper articles on the Convention].
